Seeking Advice on Optimizing MadMapper for Multi-Projector Setup

    by movone8084 » Thu Nov 28, 2024 11:53 am

    Hello everyone,

I’m relatively new to MadMapper, and I’m currently working on a project that involves a multi-projector setup for a live performance. The goal is to map visuals across three different surfaces using three projectors (1920x1080 each) to create a seamless experience. While I’ve managed to set up the basic mapping, I’m encountering a few challenges and was hoping to get some advice:

Performance Optimization: Are there specific settings or tips for minimizing llookeratency and ensuring smooth playback when handling multiple video files at high resolutions? My computer has a decent GPU (NVIDIA RTX 3060) and 32GB RAM, but it occasionally struggles during previews.

Edge Blending: I’ve been experimenting with edge blending, but the transitions between projections aren’t as seamless as I’d like. Is there a particular technique or adjustment I should focus on to improve the blending quality?

Content Resolution: For best performance, should I scale down my visuals before importing them into MadMapper, or is it better to use the native resolution and let the software handle scaling?

I’ve already checked some tutorials and the documentation, but any practical tips or insights from your experiences would be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
