We just released the modul8 v3.1.7 version which comes with nice fixes, here's the release note:

Personally, I like that up to 10 video layers can be combined into the output video stream. Naturally, each layer can be configured individually in real time, including using filters. Rendering is optimized and fast enough, which makes the creative process easier. Most of the functions in the program are fairly standard and available as add-ons, such as sequencing and the SMS-to-screen function. The only thing that is missing is the ability to generate an output signal: for example, there is no support for DV / DMX. Before you start working with the program, it is worth spending some time setting it up to your needs.

I'm going to buy v3.1.7, I can’t wait!
