Delay

Is there a delay between a live feed camera (such as a Sony HDV) In through Firewire and outputed to a Radeon HD 4870 Video Card to projector using moduel8 as the vj software. Is it quality enough for a live 300 seat show. No delay No studer no artifacts. The system Would be the new skulltrail with E5430, Xeon Core2 Quad x 2 8mb mem
