Advide on Modul8 setup and management

    Greetings!

I'm new to VJing and modul8, but not to video and software as a whole.

I'm using modul8 v2.5 for a live theater piece and have some questions about its capabilities and workflow. Thanks in advance!

    1. Is there a way to automate multiple fx & parameter changes between group A & B? Let's say I wanted to simultaneously fade between group A & B, adjust rotation, and scale my media. It's nearly impossible to do live all at once with only 2 hands. Is there a way to record a combination of actions, store them, and then apply them at a later time? Can I do this with FX too?
    2. What is the best way to just start a clip at the beginning?
    3. Is there a way to turn off all the videos in a group at once? Even if group B is faded out and we're viewing clips in group A, the videos in B are still playing and seem affect performance.
    4. Can you apply FX to the main output (both a&b). For instance I want to add noise to the output, then underneath fade to another group, then fade out the noise to reveal new group.
    5. Does modul8 not support 16:9 output? My projector is 1280x720 and would like to output to such.
    6. Can you mask an effect? I want to apply chroma key only to a portion of a layer.
    7. My midi maps don't seem to save. any advice beyond what's in the manual?
    8. I also need to trigger just audio clips. I've been making Quicktime's with audio in the animation codec, full transparency with really small (like 5x5 pxl) resolutions. Is this the most efficient way?

A lot of questions! THANKS a bunch for any responses!

Also, some things I already figured out:

In order to get around Question 6, I just duplicated the layer and cropped out the part i wanted to key, placing it above the original layer. leaving some space around the edges of the part to key, i could hide the media under the green portion that was keyed. However would be much easier if I could simply invert the crop or mask an effect....possible?

Question 2 i solved by using a plugin module that fades from a to b and restarts all the clips.

Question 1 might be solved using the record functions? Also so a module that lets you record multiple parameters...but doesnt look like you can save a bank of them.

    Thanks!

In version 2.6 there are modules
    (vs) Preset (layer)
    Preset Default (layer)
    (vs) Recall layer set
that allow you to do some stuff you desire in question 1.
Dig into modules more. If I remember right there were some more addressing this.
