problem with dock when running modul8

when i run modul8 the dock, which is in auto hide mode doesn't pop up properly... why is this?
Hi,
Your mouse is set to either 'only on desktop' or 'circular on desktop'.
You need to change it to 'Free' but then you run the risk of accidentally moving it onto the output screen.
I have the same issue so if i need to open a program/file I use either Spotlight or a Finder window.
