I was wondering if I can use Arturia Beatstep Sequencer with Modul8 to trigger video ?

I suppose the Beatstep should work just as any other midi controller. Just connect it to your computer, enable the input in Modul8 Preferences > Key Midi Mapping, and map midi controls to suit your needs.

I've never tried Modul8 with a hardware sequencer, but I've used Ableton live to trigger Modul8.

. yes you can. i hooked up a BeatStep Pro (via USB) to my laptop running Modul8 and i was able to receive MIDI from it.
