    I am not a programmer but I am a pro on macs and loads of applications, does anyone know the best way to learn python? Is there a good book availiable?

    the user manual gives you almost everything you need, but you must have programming knowledges or it will be hard for you...
    I found this website http://www.sthurlow.com/python/, I don't know if it's a good one. But you should mix this tutorial with modul8 documentation in order to understand how the code is organised in modul8.

    Once you understand the logic of coding, python is really easy!

    Whats the best way to get into programming? What would be a good language to start with?

    I started with php, but I wanted to learn it and I found a really good site to learn it (in french...). If you don't really want to learn php, don't bother with it and start learning python. I think the website I gave you is a good one, I looked ito it quickly and it seems really well done.
