MapMapMap or sth that works!

Hello people. I've updated my Modul8 to 3.1.3, my operating system is MacOS Mojave 10.14.1. I've tried almost every version of MapMapMap module and none of them works + Modul8 crashes every time I try to activate Mapmapmap. I know its probably cuz of Phyton version. Can you please tell me how to fix it?
...OR maybe there is similar module I can use to mask layers? By "mask" I mean cover/show part of image (like in Adobe Software).
