FreeFrame 1.5 in Modul8?

    FreeFrame 1.5 in Modul8?

    Is there a way to use FreeFrame 1.5 also known as FreeFrameGL or FFGL in Modul8? (http://community.freeframe.org/news/fre ... -release-0)

    Before reading this post I believe M8 support FF 1.5 ! (Also I was searching the way to know how to program freeframe effect ; I think it is too boring developping FF 1.0 with the release 1.5)

    Found this in a forum:

    "New FFGL FX module "IR F3DOM" (Mac\Win) which will allow to load into yours the VJs program almost any 3d models in a format 3DS and COLLADA, the module supports replacement of model's textures by a video stream, animation also is supported, in case of COLLADA files are supported user's shader programs. It to you will allow to do by oneself design of effects, such what is necessary to you. For creation of models of it you can use excellent free 3D editor Blender."

    I still don't understand if FFGL is supported on M8 or not...
    The plugins I tested didn't work.
    Any official word?

    Hi all,

    Modul8 2.5/2.6 only supports FreeFrame 1.0

    We will provide support for FreeFrame 1.5 (aka FFGL) in a future release.

    Oh my!
    That's why I can't make my new plugins work!
    FreeFrame 1.5 was released more than 2 years ago.
    I love Modul8, but it is stuck in time.
    So what can we do?
    Wait (...) or extend it ourselves.
    Modules are great but limited.
    Guys from Iduun are making miracles with modules.
    But they are just making the features M8 should already have.
    Projection mapping is changing the way we VJ, we have new needs, but our tool of choice is the same.
    There are so many possibilities with FFGL...
    If you can't update M8, at least let us do it.
    Need some help? My services are available.

    is ffgl supported in 2.7, doesn't seem to be?.. will ffgl be supported in 2.8?

    2.8 is still only supporting freeframe 1.0 looks like. im really good at stating the obvious

    . if i bump this - can it be answered ? any plans for FFGL (FreeFrame 1.5) in Modul8 ?

    . i just downloaded and compiled the FFGLHost project (https://sourceforge.net/projects/freeframe/) and would love to start messing around w/building some plugins, though it appears that Modul8 (as of v2.9) still doesn't support them

    . the demo plug-ings work in VDMX - but i don't want do the whole syphon dance to get everything working together (besides, i syphon to get Kinect images from Vuo )


    . so David - any word about this happening?
