This module will help you key and MIDI map layer on/off and transparency. Now you get access to all 10 layers. Simple stuff, but I'd figure it will help some people.

I'm not sure what you mean here, I've always had access to the 10 layers!

I never found a way to midi or key map the 10 layers with different midi messages or keys, it's only the current layer that can be mapped. Say for instance that you are key mapping and you want "a" to toggle layer 1 on/off, "b" toggles layer 2 on/off, "c" layer 3, etc. How do you do that? Same goes for mapping midi messages to the layers.

With this module you will map the keys / midi messages to the dials and (big) buttons of the Layer Buddy module, hence getting controll of "layer hidden" and "alpha" for each separate layer. The toggle (TOG) button will decide if the layer is hidden only while the big button is pressed or if it toggles on/off for each press. The invert button (INV) will switch so that the layer is shown when the big button is pressed. By "big button" I mean the L1-L10 layer switches of the module.

I might have missed some fundamental features of Modul8, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm afraid that you have missed fundamental features as you say. There's 3 kinds of midi mapping, focus, position and layer set+position which give you complete MIDI control over everything you want and more. Including being able to control 80 layers (for the 8 banks of layer sets) separately. It sounds like you've only been using focus mapping.
These settings appear on the tabs at the top when you're in MIDI or key editing mode.

I've been ignoring it for so long. It even made me curious how long it had been there. I did a check and realized it has been there at least since 2.5. I will redraw my module and see if I can turn it to something useful. Otherwise it was just a complete waste of time.
