i made a module allowing to manipulate keyframes in modu8.

I don't pretend this is THE solution but more a proof-of-concept.
you will find the module on the library called (zr)keyframe-Beta03.
I know it doesn't look at all at the beautifull images posted in the forum,
so, i made inside the module, a direct link to my blog (to get the tutorial)

Please fell free to post me any comments and critics (be honnest, if it's crap, SAY IT !!!)
If it's not total failure, i will go into further dev' respecting what i wrote in the tutorial.

making modules is the power 4 modul8! so good work on DIY-ing !
(but i cannot find the logic what to do with this one...)

it seems to work for the edit mode and play mode. when attatched to layer 1 for instance, just nothing happens here when attached with ui to opacity (clip layer 1)....

can imagine you can add several commands to each keyframe but how? like opacity100 at keyframe1 and 45 for keyframe2 etc. is this what you could use it for? got some video recorded using the module perhaps?

can you skip thrue the timeline while changing parameters (like opacity) what lenght is workable?
can timeline length be connected to clips induvidually/grouped?

i guess i just missed the point, when reading the thread from 2006. but i'm a n00000b, so please explain

(really happy people building modules anyways, a friend's working here on different modules too, more about that later.......)

Well, this module should do it,

HOW TO:
So. how do i make it work with layer opacity?
(if that is the question)

1) go to Edit MODE
2) select your keyword
(use "pick in UI" & select the opacity of a layer in the ui), this keyword will appear in the "text-list"
(fresh BUG DISCOVERY::evil: once the keyword choosen, please desactivate the "print in UI" button,
i missed sommething and will fix this as soon as possible':oops:' 1000 x sorry )
You can also write it manually in the texfield in front of the text "keywords>"but i'm shure that you doesn't remember the name of it (well, me neither) so you can activate "PRINT KEY" button, make changes, and look into M8's OutputPrintWindow

3) set your time & value for the keyframe
(Choose for the first keyframe, a time value bigger than 0; EX: 0.1); Set your oppacity value in User Interface.

4) press the "SET KEY". (this will set the keyframe: Value & time)

By now, you should have one keyrame... but this doesn't do anything...

to set another keyframe
5) redo step from 3 to 4

3')set a new time (EX: 5secondes in the time texfield or trigger >> & << buttons).
change your layer oppacity (again) in the User Interface
4') Press "SET KEY" to set the 2nd keyframe

• Note that the last keyframe is the time defined as the "loop time" (when the module reaches that time, the counter goes to 0 and makes another loop.
this will be one without inerpolation (direct from end to start) so, if you need a real "smooth" loop, you have to set the last keyframe == to first keyframe (and have more than 2 keyframes ...)

LAYERS:
If you want to map this to a special layer, Enter "Edit Mode",
and choose the "LAYER" button to enter the prefs mode.
you will find radio buttons with layer numbers.

Note that you can only map ONE layer at a time.

Note also that once you have choosen your keywords and added some keyframes, you can not add more keywords, you have to deleetes all the keyframes, choose one more keyword and remake re-set the keyframes.

So it took some time but i updated this module...
some errors has been corected but the most usefull is that the GUI has changed!!!:
you will feel more guided in the process of making keyframes.

I made also 4 video tutorial for some example at the download page
