    Solo Layer module

    by LeavingSunday » Sun May 17, 2009 8:24 pm

I often work with multiple plugins on each layer. When I manually solo a layer in a project, I notice a massive increase in performance.

I couldn't find a solo layer module that automates this action.
So I thought it would be handy to have a module that kills the visibility of all layers across all layersets, except of the focus layer. It would be even more handy to have a "kill visibility of all layers in Group A/B" option. So when you have multiple layers active and visible in group A, you can kill the visibility of all layers in group B (on all layersets or only in the selected set).

To bad I can't program this.. anyone interested?

This is great idea. I noticed this too with my last concert. Because I was not able reopen set up projects the way I saved them I had to use layer sets for every track. It made the M8 very slow indeed. Although it was very convenient to have everything organized this way.
So I would like this feature a lot. Module or built in.

You don't need a module for that.
just map all the layer switches in group a to one button/key
and all the layer switches in group b to another one, voila.

I didn't think of that, clever solution.
    Thanks!
