Hi folks,
anyone got any advice - professional or otherwise - regarding outside projections.
yesterday i hooked up my projector, laptop and midicontroller to my car battery using a 12volt - 230v inverter; which is supposed to run up to 600 watts - i got about 10 seconds in before it all died! ie the car battery went flat -
Anybody had/have experience in doing this can help?
It all seemed so simple in theory!

Use a gas powered generator.

yep, generator, but don't plug anything in it when you start the generator wait a bit before pluggin anything on it

you can burn your equipment otherwise...

I'm sure that people have done this using batteries before. Do a search on

Ok, so we have the generator, what about the type of projector. I am preparing a gig and I was wondering how much projection space to be cast on a building(at night) could I get out of a 4500lumens projector. Any body know the math? Recommendations?
Thanks!
