    Same universe on multiple IP

    by neonlimb » Mon Oct 03, 2022 9:25 pm

    Hello,
New to DMX and MadMapper. I'm trying to use multiple DMX devices with unique ip address but that have the same universes (see attached pic).
In Resolume you can select the IP for each fixture. I don't see this option in MadMapper. Is there a way to do this or do I need to offset the universe addresses for each of my DMX devices so there are no repeat universes?

    Thanks

I don't understand the question. You devices are listening the same universes but you want to send them different data ? Is that what you mean ?
I know some people need that with crappy ArtNet->DMX where you cannot change the universe it listens too. In this case you can use the "remap" feature of the ArtNet routing table. If you enable remap, you can choose the "Target Universe" that will be set in the ArtNet packet for this specific IP (while its data are coming from the universe number specified in "Univ.")
