MadMapper 6 Beta 5 is pretty awesome. The Timeline/Conductor feature was pretty cool.

The Timeline/Conductor feature makes it pretty easy to make an actual show with multiple layers of video content as well as others like audio, OSC, and more.

I made a short video showing how I made use of this to achieve a show workflow that is suitable for our installations.

    https://youtu.be/Ja_JI988BLI

Below is some feedback and possible bugs I found while using it:

    1) Pause Button for Timeline? When you press the spacebar while a Timeline/Conductor is currently playing it will pause the playback. Good. However, when you press the spacebar again the playhead will go back to either the very beginning or where the red playback line is. This is not ideal because we want to simply pause and then play the Timeline/Conductor from where it just was. Is there a better way to do this? Adding a pause button instead of just Play and Stop might be a good solution.

    2) Layers of video? For our shows we need at least x2 layers of video. One for the underlying video and another for transitions with an alpha transparency channel. I did not see a way to have more than one video track on top of each other in a Montage so I made x2 Montage tracks. However, a surface can only look at a single Montage track so what I did was overlay the x2 Montage tracks in a "Pre-Mix" virtual output with "Publish Internal Loopback" enabled and then had the surfaces look at this source. This worked nicely but I am not sure if it is the most optimal way to do it.

Overall these features make MadMapper a much more robust tool for creating shows that make use of multiple layers and medias. We are looking forward to the alpha version to see how we can use them in our installations.

    Keep up the great work!

In MadMapper 6 Beta 5, , changing the values of X and Y or the rotation in the Input section doesn't do anything but changing the size of the surface works. It seems to be the same issue in Beta 4.

Also, if I try to change the rotation of a surface input, it doesn't do anything but if try to change the size of the surface after it does something weird.
