i am struggeling to find the easiest way how to start a dmx signal (or lets say a lamp) during a video show. We want to run a movie and on time 0:32 sec (for example) a light must fade in.

What is the best way to achieve that?

There are various options. If you're working on video edition, you can reserve portions of your movie for lights, so you have a single movie with a part dedicated to video output(s) and another for lights. Is that clear enough ?
