    waterfall mapping?

    by SODABLACK » Mon Oct 05, 2020 6:35 am

Is it possible to use MM to map a waterfall or is it impossible to project a sharp image on flowing water?
I have a large rock face with flowing water and would like to know what's possible?
    Perhaps laser animation?
Anyone with information or experience greatly appreciated.

I don't think so. Waterfall is a transparent moving texture... Plus it would be a matter of hardware, I don't know if there exists an high-end projector suitable for that

you can project on ANYTHING. how ever, on flowing water we can't garantee what the result will look like.
Try it and send us picture !

I've done it using this clip from Pexels:

But as you can see the focus of the clip is not on the falling water. It's enhanced by the couds and mist etc.
