    MadLight Recorder, no OSC Play-Trigger?

    by mipmarple » Thu Jan 14, 2021 11:34 am

    Hi,

I am struggling to replace a constantly unreliable mediaserver (DynamicProjection MDC Shuttle PC) with an intel Nuc running MadMapper.
My goal is to trigger plaback of two videos, 5.1 sound and an artnet sequence which I recorded using the new MadLight Recorder feature. Recording and cutting of the artnet Sequence worked very well, and I can verify its content using the DMX Monitor.

*BUT* it doesn't seem to be possible to trigger playback of the scene via OSC?
I can only trigger "Start Recording" and "Stop Recording".
Is there anything about the concept I misunderstand?
I could export it to a miniMad, which I have here, but I would really like to omit any Hardware that is not necesary here.

    Thanks + Greetings.

there's a list of OSC commands for MiniMad Light in this manual : https://madmapper.com/wp-content/upload ... _GUIDE.pdf

(you should find what you need there)

Controlling the miniMad is no problem, but shouldn't it be possible to just playback a recorded Artnet-Sequence in madMapper?

Artnet sequences recorded with the MadLight recorder are intended for the MiniMad - hence the "limitation"

there is still a way to use them though, I'll sent you a file in pm shortly
