Performance: HAP vs GIF

Hi, I am putting together a show in MM that will have a large number of animated GIFs.

From a size standpoint, converting GIFs to HAP result in a much larger file size, and from a convenience standpoint I can't preview HAP in Finder which is a pain.

How does GIF compare to HAP performance-wise? I'd prefer to keep my files as GIF unless there is a major performance gain by converting to HAP.

HAP is great for very high resolution. I'm not used to see GIFs in user projects but if it works for you why not. Best is to try. i would say: test using twice more visuals than what you might do in your show and if it works, don't loose time recompressing.
