RGB Cube

Hi there,

Very new user, but enjoying using madMapper (so far!).

I have 10 RGB LED curtains and have successfully patched them in using Artnet as 10 fixtures. I can feed content to them.
I want to hang the 10 LED curtains so they form a cube made out of 10 slices of LED.

I want to see if I can display 3d content on the volumetric cube.

1) What is the best way of setting out the LED curtains in madMapper? I can get the 10 curtains arranged flat next to each other in Madlight, but struggling to create my 3d cube and start displaying content on the slices?
Do I need to draw 10 planes in something like AutoCAD in 3d, and then import an .obj file? I'm struggling to understand how I move from Madlight into the other modules of Madmapper.

I'm based in London, UK,

Many thanks,
Chocolate Lover.

your best bet would be to write a custom shader that outputs 10 slices of a unit space.
Then raymarch any primitive - such as a cube - in your shader.

For static content, you could use blender to slice your object and render the slices in a movie file.

I published a material called "LEDVoxel-Plasma" in the online library.

Thank you - I'm all set up now and will investigate.
