Hi I wanted to revisit the best codec recommendation for MadMapper? I have avoided HAP for years because the major inconvience of not being able to preview videos in Mac Finder. Has that problem been solved?

I'm on a MacBook Pro M2, running Ventura 13.6.6. I'd like to be able to run multiple layers (about 4 - 8 quads) with a 4k output. Should I consider encoding my clips in HVEC, H264, HAP, or ProRes?

For quality ProPres 4444 is the best
For speed HapQ (but it uses lot of hard drive)
But in general case, MadMapper will be able to playback any format. If you have a show with a few movies, it's ok to move to HAP, but if you do VJing, you might not want to re-encode all your library in HAP format which makes much bigger than H264 / HEVC.
