Multichannel Audio for Montage video tracks?

Hi all, I'm trying to use the awesome new Montage feature to play a bunch of video sources in sync, one of which has 4 channel audio that must be totally synchronized with its video, since this is on-camera dialog. I understand this is doable via a separate Montage audio track - tried it and it works - but was hoping to play the built-in audio from the source video file, which would ensure everything stays synchronized over long playback time, interruptions etc. This works great with the regular video source but once I drop it into the Montage timeline I see now way to turn the audio back on. Many thanks, would appreciate any help on this!

If the video has multiple audio channels (e.g., 4 channels), when played in Media Inspector, does it play all channels, or just stereo?

It will play all channels as long as you have enough channels in your audio output device selected in preferences
