Spatial Scanner camera question

Hi, I am new to this and trying to get things planned out. I want to use the space scanner to scan my area. My projector has a .38:1 throw ratio (yes very short throw due to space). I am looking to use my existing HD webcam to do the spatial scanning with. it has an 80 degree FOV. will that work? I'm not sure how to calculate if the web camera needs to have a wider field of view to capture the full image? the web cam is the PTZ Optics Webcam-80 v2

Yes it will work. The quality depending mostly on the number of pixels of you camera for a pixel of the video projector. So if you have a compatible photo camera (canon or sony) which takes pictures in high resolution (say 4k) for a video projector of 1080p, then you'll have all video projector pixels precisely. If your webcam does not capture separately each video projector pixels, space scan precision will be lower, that's it

Thanks! Do you think if I place this camera on the projector it will capture the full image? I think the projector ends up being around 15' away from the surface, and the width will be around 33' didn't know if the camera would capture that at 80 FOV.

also, if I have my projectors in portrait mode, do I also need to rotate the camera sideways to match?

Sorry for all these noob questions.
