pentagram quad

So I am toying around with a model that has multiple dodecahedrons... I am able to map the individual pentagons using a quad with a mask inside of it but it is a little bit of a "ghetto" solution to be rolling to multiple venues on a tour cycle with... it would be much nicer to simply add one point to the quad and have that be that... I am not sure that there is a way to do this but am hoping there is some sort of idiot button I have not yet checked...

Thanks!

It would be great if they built in say a custom surface button, that gave the option to keep adding points.

But till then, you could always just add a triangle.

yeah the triangle seems like the way to go huh.

the custom surface option would be super handy... it seems like a no brainer there must be a really good reason for it not to exist... I am way to uneducated in the inner workings of the program to even speculate

FYI, if you just use the quad and turn on warp inputs, you can essentially make whatever shape you want. Just subdivide your warp gid until you have enough points to make whatever shape you want on your input side. Your "grid" will end up looking all crazy, but it does the trick. it works awesome for custom shapes like pentagrams, octagons, stars, etc.
