Problem corrupt project file Zéro octets

    by jamais203 » Fri Jan 31, 2025 7:25 pm

Hi, my first time posting as I’ve never encountered a problem before…, but !
has anyone encountered a problem where the project file corrupts and has zero data

Using an old i7 Mac on Big Sur ( not broken so I didn’t upgrade) and version 4.2.1 madmapper, project file and media all on an external drive.

Never encountered any problems with this configuration for years and use it for theatre shows every week…
Been working on a new theatre show since December and today I force restarted my Mac after a lag in madmapper & everything has gone, I save every few minutes so didn’t see a problem with a forced restart but my project file now opens an empty project, doesn’t even show the name … aargh… weeks of work gone.
It’s like I deleted everything & saved a blank project, nothing at all there. All my old projects work fine, just the one I was working on is lost. Any ideas ?

    Sorry to hear that.
In MadMapper v5 we've added a backup system in case thit happens.
