“Revert Path” Naming Issue & Mask Feathering Bug

    by felix-headtrip » Mon Apr 20, 2026 6:11 pm

    Hi everyone,

I’d like to report two issues I’ve come across while working in MadMapper:

    1. Misleading function name (“Revert Path”)
When using Video Lines and working in the Masks / Lines section of the layer settings, there is a button labeled “Revert Path.”
However, this button doesn’t revert/reset the path — it actually reverses the direction of the line.

I believe “Reverse Path” would be a more accurate and less confusing label.

    2. Mask feathering threshold issue
When applying a mask to a surface, the feathering value doesn’t seem to have any visible effect below ~5.1%.
For example, setting it to 5% or lower produces no change, and the feathering only starts to become visible once it exceeds that threshold.

This makes fine control in the lower range difficult.
Has anyone else experienced this, or can confirm whether this is intended behavior?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi!

You're right. We'll fix that frenchy guys mistake
When applying a mask to a surface, the feathering value doesn’t seem to have any visible effect below ~5.1%.
You're right. There's a hardcoded precision. We'll increase it in next release.

    Thanks for reporting!
