Configuring Madmapper with Abelton

I am following the MM YouTube tutorial on MM > Abelton and on the video it shows "MapMapper In" as a MIDI Input device (on an older version of MM). On my PC and MM4 there is nothing listed in Tools/Preferences/MIDI/Input devices. I have a MIDI keyboard connected to Abelton and can see/hear the MIDI input in Abelton, but I can't see "Madmapper In" as an output option in Abelton. I have Abelton Link "on" and can see a control /master/Global BPM/Abelton (although that is not shown in the YouTube video).

My question is how to get MadMapper to interface to Abelton. How do I get "Madmapper In" set as a MIDI Input device (or has something changed between versions)? How do I get Abelton to see it?

Windows doesn't offer support for virtual MIDI devices by default. You have to install a MIDI loopback software like
http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html
or

Thanks. I have worked out that for most of my purposes (press a key on keyboard to trigger a control) I don't actually need Ableton and can read the MIDI signals directly from MM.
