PS3 Controller on Windows 10

I have a wired PS3 controller plugged into Windows 10 device and the controller is visible in W10 settings.
In MM I have set "Enable HID devices PS3/PS4" in Preferences.
When I try and set an MM control based on PS3 input MM asks me to detect the controller, but doesn't see it.
Do I need some other device driver software to get it to work?

Some progress. Turns out it has to be a genuine Sony Dualshock3 controller (mine was a clone and just constantly buzzed when connected and after having installed scptoolkit drivers). Now MM sees the PS3 controller, but when I wire up an MM control to say a Sony controller button or joystick and click "Learn", MM does not see when I press the relevant controller button. It just stays at "waiting for event"
Anyone got any further?

Not having much joy. Uninstalled scptoolkit and went back to version 1.6.238 (the 1.7 beta would not see my controller). Scptoolkit seems to have worked (Virtual bus etc installed) and it passes the Input test and I can do things like set the lights on the controller. Now however I can't get MM to see it when I select Detect Devices (despite pushing every dualshock 3 button.
What version of scptoolkit on Windows 10 has anyone got working?

Hi,
On Windows, DualShock 4 works but nnot DualShock 3. I can see that the device is properly opened but MadMapper is not receiving any data. I suppose there's a Windows component that gets the incoming data packet. We'll investigate this issue.
We keep you up to date.
Kind Regards,
Matthieu - MM team

MadMapper directly talks with the device through usb (PS3 is a HID device).
We might implement another way to get any game pad working in MM with a higher level API that would work with any game controller supported by the OS.

Thanks. I've ordered a Dualshock4 off eBay and will see how I get on!

I ordered what was advertised as a genuine Dualshock 4 but turned out it was a Counterfeit
Anyway it didn't work with MM, so I'll have to re-order a genuine one. BTW a genuine Sony one weighs about 210 gram and the fakes are about 200 grams, so if buying one off ebay get the seller to send a photo of one on some kitchen scales!

I can confirm that a genuine Sony Dualshock 4 v2 works fine. The genuine one weighs 210g and when charging shows a slowly pulsing orange light on rear. The counterfeit ones don't work.
