Abelton Link

I have Abelton 11 (Intro edition) running at 80 BPM in arrangement mode and MM set to "Abelton Link" (both on same machine), but I don't see any difference in (say) strobe speed when I increase/decrease the BPM in Abelton.

What does the Abelton link actually do? Do you need to set something in Abelton (some macro perhaps?)

Did you enable Link in Ableton ?

On WIndows 10 and Abelton 11 Intro edition I don't see the Link option UI.

Abelton help says "As of Live 9.7.1, Link usage is only possible with ASIO drivers. If Direct X/MME is selected in Audio Preferences, Link will be automatically disabled and therefore not show up in the Live Transport Bar."

I don't have ASIO drivers (I have Direct X/MME) so it would appear it doesn't work :-(

So you can install an ASIO driver from https://www.asio4all.org/ and LINK appears in Abelton UI (and then works as expected in MM). The only issue is that the sound is terrible (will see if I can fix that, but its an Abelton issue).

Anyway the upshot is you need working ASIO to get it to work!

Sorry I wasn't aware Live needed ASIO for Link to be available... Annoying.
ASIO4ALL is indeed an option!
