    Error 0xc000007b at launch MM 3,4 & 5

    Hello all,

    after a year off, I reinstalled my madmapper and I'm not able to lauch the program. I get :
    The application failed to initialize and will now terminate (Error 0xc000007b).
    I tried to reinstall, cg drivers, vcredist, dx...to no avalailiable...
    MM5 works on my old laptop though...

    Anyone got an idea ?

    That's not a known issue.
    Please send a mail to support[at]garagecube(dot)com with:
    - log file, located in
    C:\Users\your_login\AppData\Roaming\Garagecube\MadMapper\Logs
    you can type this in file explorer address bar:
    %AppData%\Roaming\Garagecube\MadMapper\Logs\
    - crash dump if any:
    C:\Users\your_login\AppData\Roaming\Garagecube\MadMapper\.CrashDumps\
    you can type this in file explorer address bar:
    %AppData%\Roaming\Garagecube\MadMapper\.CrashDumps\
    We'll find out.

    Please also try to execute manually the file "VC_redist.x64.exe" available in C:\Program Files\MadMapper 5.0.5
    You can also try to uninstall VC redistributables from Windows / "Add or Remove Programs" and then reinstall it.

    Hi Matt, thanks for your reply...I tried to uninstall all c++ libraries end to reinstall manually and nothing changed.

    I don't have any of the folder you mention created on my harddrive. ( installations are ran as administrator and folder has R/W permission )

    Problem persists...Intereting to mention that I have the exact same problem with Notch.
    3dsmax, houdini, vray, touch designer, all adobe works as normally expected though...

    Just an update if that can be of some help.
    Windows Uac was causing the issue, after deactivating it completely, everything installed and ran fine.
    Kudos to Notch support for helping me troubleshoot this.

    Thank You so much for this post. Windows UAC caused MM 5.1.5 to now load on my Windows 11 machine, which I updated to latest OS including other software for Alienware M17. I though that is what screwed me; turns out, disabling User Account Control fixed the issue. So I didn't lose 2 days of work after all. Thanks You so much!

    We couldn't reproduce this issue but we're investigating. Do you know if you were using an admin user account when the issue happened ?
