LED Controller glitching out

I'm having this weird issue all of a sudden.
I'm using madmapper for LED lights.
When I try to put the LEDs to solid white it seems to reset the controller...
It seems as though I can do solid red, solid green, solid blue.. but if i get too much all at once it seems to glitch out the controller and reset. Could this be a power issue? I've checked all my connections, restarted the contoller, restarted my computer, started a new project in madmapper and made a set of led fixtures from scratch... still even when using some of the materials if i get too much illumination accross the fixtures all at once it seems to trip out and reset my controller... it's very annoying...
any ideas?
