LUTs?

I feel like I've asked this before but haven't been able to find the thread.
Is there a way to load a 3D LUT as an effect in MadMapper? I want to use a .cube file and apply it as an effect.
For reference, I want to convert log footage to REC709. I know I can do this in OBS but I hate using OBS just so I can load a LUT lolol. Any ideas?? thx

You can use a LUT for color transformation, check the Surface 2D FX named "LUT" in the online library. Once installed, you can go in the FX folder in your workspace and replace the "orange_lut.png" file, or edit the FX and change the file name (you could add an INPUT to choose between different files, the Materials documentation is available in menu Help)

Could you propose an example of LUT in a .cube file ? Which support does support it ?

Hey Matt - !
Sorry for the delay. Here's an example of some .cube files:

Hi,
Sorry for the delay too... There's a "LUT" surface 2D FX in MadMapper online resource library.
It takes an image as input, not a ".cube" file. We should add a loader for .cube file. I added it to our whishlist. At the moment you need an image file.
Cheers
Matthieu

Woo - looking forward to that.
Would be killer to have color controls that are similar to Lumetri !!

@mad-matt
hey guys – been loving playing around w/ beta 6!
any updates on being able to load .cube files? I've got so much footage that I love to run-and-gun and throw into mad, but it's all log, so I need to apply a .cube LUT.

FWIW – if you use this methodology
https://streamshark.io/obs-guide/conver ... t-to-image
but you use the neutral-png provided with the installation of the MM 2D FX Lut, and apply your cube via the above methodology, then export it as orange_lut.png, replace it in the Surface2DFX folder, then the cube seems to work decently. Not sure how accurate it is because it appears to be a much smaller png (256x16 instead of 256x256), but good enough to test with !
