    Out-put prob with Syphon recorder

    by BBDecker » Thu Nov 10, 2022 7:10 am

I'm trying to make loops out of Madmapper through Syphon recorder. I records for about 2 seconds and then I get a message: "The destination drive or encoding processor wasn't fast enough-"
I haven't seen that before and do not know the remedy. Can anyone suggest a fix? Explanation?
    Thanks!

I suppose it means that Syphon Recorder is unable to encode the stream at the speed it's coming in. The reason can be that your computer is not fast enough to encode the stream in real-time in the selected codec, or that the storage device is not fast enough. Are you recording to an SSD drive ?
You can try to reduce MadMapper frame rate (preferences / engine / fps = manual - 30 FPS for instance)
You can also try to change the codec in Syphon Recorder. Some codec are compressed by the graphics card when possible, some are CPU only.
