Laser timing

I have 8 laser effects, each effect just around few seconds. And also I have a 3 minute video. The 8 laser effect appear during the video. How can I set the start time for each laser effect?
People generally use a timeline software for that, which sends MIDI or OSC to MadMapper. You can also use a lighting controller (DMX).

With any of this application, you can put an audio file and change MadMapper parameters over time (activate a layer, change movie opacity, change color levels, trigger a cue...)
