    Video flickers after 2h

    by jaybsound » Sat Dec 23, 2023 1:32 pm

Hey guys, I was asked to VJ a club for New Years Eve. I was setting everything up with the clubs computer and projectors… But after around 1.5-2h the video starts flickering / changing brightness very slowly… it seems like an effect, but nobody touched the gear for over an hour. Restarting madmapper fixes the issue, but it cames back after 1.5-2h.

The software Version was 5.0.7 and there no wifi / cellular connection in the club to update.
Do you have any idea why this happens?!

I can’t attach the video here, please watch it on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/madmapper/s/P85gu8FbO7

Why not using latest version ?
You can try to de-authorize and re-authorize MadMapper.
    Kind Regards

Not that easy, as I said there no internet connection in the club and the computer is screwed down to avoid theft. Is that flicker a know issue that a new version fixes? Taking the computer home and updating it is a big hussle and I want to be sure that an update fixes it before a start that endeavour.
