i don't understand why this massive cross cursor remains on the madmapper input window while i'm drawing quads, it's annoying and not really meaningful since this cursor is not even displayed from the MAD_Line madtool.

You can turn off the cursor via the MAD_Line application...on the top right hand side.
The icon has a + on it.
