Since upgrade... scaling freezes

Hey guys,
Ran into a problem when running the new version. Very strange.
When I first opened it, I was able to create a new quad and scale the focus in the input window no problem. A few minutes later the scale window (IE: The blue selection window) wont scale anymore... It seems to scale once... then I use the window zoom to get a tighter fit and then I can no longer scale the selection window. Adding a new quad doesn't fix it.
This never happened in the previous version of mapper.
Is this a common problem? Am I missing something simple?
