Mad_Light - Artnet Universe limit?

Hi folks,

We have an upcoming project in which we need to output 78 universes of Artnet, to the LEDs on the exterior of a building. Is Mad_Light capable of this output?

The architectural control system uses pre-built clips stored in the architectural controller, which we'll be taking over with live visuals (sent out of Resolume Arena) for the night.

The total channel count is closer to 25,000 (approx. 1680 x 5), but it's spread over 78 universes to make for easier signal distribution.

Any advice appreciated, thanks!

madmapper will do fine! But I hope you won't be using 78 enttec ODE ;)

Is there an upper limit to what MadLight can handle, or is it a question of "unlimited universes until the computer runs out of processing power"?

Thanks!

We've managed up to 24 universes with the 1.5x branch (using broadcast).
In 1.6, we're introducing unicast mode, and eventually jumbo frames (TBC), so you should be able to handle much more universes. No precise count yet, as we have to run some deeper tests.

We go into live testing in about three weeks, what are the odds of seeing 1.6 in November?

100MBit unicast is the plan at the moment.
