How To: Use Stream Deck + With MadMapper Mad Projector Control

I just received a Stream Deck + and wanted to try it out with MadMapper and a few other programs.

I made a short demo video to show how it can be used in a very simple way.

The MadMapper Plugin is helpful but to fully control everything I found I needed another plugin to control things via MIDI. I did not find a cross platform plugin that did OSC but hopefully soon.

In the MadMapper plugin, specifically for the rotary dials, the method where you paste in the OSC address is so simple and easy to use. I wish you could do that for the buttons as well that would be a GAME CHANGER!

Overall the platform is solid and this would be very valuable for large show START and STOP buttons for permanent installations.

The buttons and dials are not as crisp or responsive so I would not use this for a live VJ setup per se as a regular MIDI controller is much faster.

Do note that you have to keep the Elgato Stream Deck App open at all times.

By using the MIDI plugin I was able to interface with the Mad Projector Control Extension and was able to turn on and off a PJ Link projector using a button on the Stream Deck. I have been searching high and low for how to be able to do this simply and reliably and think this is an amazing combination.

Thanks for to the MadMapper team for making awesome software!
