We ran 2 mad mapper systems during a festival in The Netherlands. Due to heavy storm in the previous days we had to take down the stage (20 meters high) to a save level and build it up again when weather was getting better. This delay killed our workflow to work on proper mapped content and test it .
Anyhow, mad mapper was used to control 110 individual led screens and 2 larger ones in the middle. We switched mainly between full screen (read, ambient) preset and an "all content on a all screens" preset and managed it with midi and aa Korg Nano Kontrol. As input we used material coming from the local VJ and the DJ, who ran 2 DVJ 1000's (and yes some syphon VU meters The other mad mapper system was used to make simple billboards on top of the the buildings.
