Per-surface animation presets and better timeline control

    by Firefly_199x » Mon Feb 02, 2026 12:32 pm

    Hi GarageCube team,
I’ve been using madMapper for live projection and install work, and one thing I’d really love to see in a future update is the ability to save and reuse animation presets per surface (including speed, phase, and easing), not just global ones. It would make complex setups much faster, especially when working with many similar shapes across different scenes.
Another related wish is more granular timeline control, like snapping animation events to markers or beats, and the option to offset animations visually rather than only numerically. I think these features would really improve workflow for live performance and mapping-heavy projects.

so you'd have a kind of animation clip that affects multiple parameters of an object and you could reuse it on another object, that's what you mean ?

If snapping is enabled, it snaps to markers. If quantization is set to "1 bar" for instance it will snap to beats. If there's an audio track it snaps to key points detected in audio file.
and the option to offset animations visually rather than only numerically
That's possible. You can make a rectangular selection in the timeline and move the box, even rescale horizontally (& vertically if the selection is on a single track). You can also duplicate and move with Alt+Click & drag
