Changing the width of UI elements in Madmapper

    by jasonbeyers » Fri Jun 19, 2020 11:30 pm

    Hi,

It would be great if Madmapper let you change the width of the left and right portions of the UI, to allow more space for the Surfaces (or fixtures) list and more space for the media list. Resizing the media list could also open the door to displaying more thumbnails on the screen at a given time.

With complex surface group hierarchies, I often need to make Surface names extremely short (and not descriptive), in order to see the full name in the Surfaces list.

You can already change the vertical height of other elements in the UI, and would be great if you could do the same with width.

    Thanks for your consideration!

    good point.
on the other hand, we were thinking about an extractable media bin panel, which could benefit from having a secondary display monitor.

    +1 both
but also color coding capabilities, for Groups / Surfaces
can help with quick Surface / cue selections if your cues correlate to surface color ( for some circumstances )
