render logical and size of the exported video modified

    by frederic » Mon Jan 26, 2009 6:45 pm

    hi,
i've prepared a composition with Modul8 for on stage perfomance, quite simple in fact only a video média and a mask. that's why I wanted to export the composition with logical record to later prepare a dvd. I did but the size of the video is slighty different from the original on Modul8 and unsusable because the mask don't match....., any idea ?
    thanks
    Fred

You can specify the render size in the dialogue box for render logical record

thanks for your reply i did it in 720x576 dv pal so with a ratio of 1.3333333...., but now i have a doubt on the size of the Modul8 composition.... I had a look on it, it's a 576x432 composition so the ratio is also 1.3333333.... i still don't understand why my export is slightly different (all the composition is shifted to the left side when i look at it with quicktime in full screen).

Somebody report any bug like this one whith the logical render...

I've been trying for a while to do something which I thought would be simple using logical record and it's not working at all. I record my set which is basically 4 layers. 3 with fixed clips and 1 which goes through 12 different clips in a sequence.
As soon as I start rendering , the layer which is meant to play the sequence of clips empties its media. If i just play the logical record it it does the same but if I scrub on the recording timeline while playing it or stop playing it it magically loads the clip again. Is there a solution to this?
I've figured out that it's affected by the length of the recording 2mins is ok but more than Causes the fault. Any possible solutions welcome

    Thanks
