    incorrect movie speed

    by Takk » Tue Sep 21, 2010 12:41 pm

Hello, i have a big problem in Modul8: I have cutted a movie fitting to a song that i play with my band. I want to start this video in Modul8 after a precount click, and than all cuts an effects should fit with the music. The problem is that the movie runs to fast in modul8. If I try to adjust the speed even the smalest possible rate makes it to slow. So I don't get to fit it with the music. Does anyone now the standard framerate of modul8 so i can render the movie in the way that modul8 will play it in the right speed? Ore, is there any trick i can do to make it work. i really would appriciate some help!!!

    Thx,

    Tukk

I do not have the answer for you - I do not need to care about it. And I do not think there is a *default* frame rate. It depends of your movies fps and how fast your system can play. But search for sync issues.
There are special video player apps that play movies correct like QLab.

Or you may want to have external cue clock device to keep in sync.

its very likely that your movie doesn't fit anyway.
frame rate varies from region to region.
if you play an NTSC movie on a PAL system it will drift within a minute.

thanks mates! what i really don't understand, is that it fits sometimes, and sometimes not. In fact, if I try it at home it fits, if i try it in the rehearsal room it doesen't. Could it be possible, that my mac runs the videos a little slower, cause there are more apps running, an more hardwaredevices connected? Well anyway...somo music-triggered effects, and it fits ;-)
