    Workspace windows not staying put

    by g4jon » Mon Nov 19, 2007 7:42 pm

    Hello all.
When I open M8 lots of various module windows are open and randomly all over the screen. I do not want this, so I arrange windows how I want, close any open modules I do not want on the workspace (no 1). All looks good. Then when I reopen M8 all the module windows are open and all over the place again, even ones I closed. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?. Using g4 powerbook. 1.5ghz. 2gig ram. external lacie rugged firewire drive. Thanks

I figured that its caused by whether you have a second output plugged in or not when you configure your windows and whether this is the same when you open md8 again. A solution would be good though!

Have you turned off the modules (or pause them) before you close the their windows, cause when you reopen modul8 they appear to let you know that they are turned on.

I'd got the same problem with the 2.5.5 beta but Boris saved me. You must give you the " Read AND Write " rights to M8 folder. Command-I, Infos, and you change the administrator's (you) rights, check the checkbox "apply to included elements". And all your modules will be saved as you let them, as usual. It should maybe happen when we move M8 app folder from one disk to another.

Thankyou all. I have done the " Read AND Write " solution. All is good. Easy when you know how.
