none of my freeframe and iua plugs are remembering their
settings , they just revert to their default settings
i have tryed storing the plugs in the new plugs folder, the HD library, app support etc
as i did in my old laptop but nothing seems to help

. hmm - it might be the filters you're using?

. which version of modul8 are you using? i use v2.6 and could have sworn that some new free frame effects plugins i got were not saving the changes i made (to the point that i mentioned it to the developer) - but i started w/a clean slate and spent about an hour testing various save configurations and couldn't reproduce the problem -- all my changes were being saved. :?

. which free frame filters are you using?

. try a plugin, set all value left (or minimum) save project as test 1
. use same plugin, set all values right (or maximum( save project as test 2

. load test 1 - did the values return to where you expected them?

. did you try copying the modul8 file from the working laptop onto the new laptop? do the filters load properly ?

. also, what other modules are you using?

. the filters or the saved files?

. hmmm. not sure. i guess you could try deleting your modul8 preferences or after you've saved the project, open it TextEdit and do a find (ctrl+f) for one of the parameters you changed to see if it's being saved.

I have tried to reproduce the problem with no luck.

In Modul8 2.6.1 :
- new project
- assign video capture to layer
- open Filter Module
- assign (FF) Fisheye filter, change its parameter (radius, distortion, center)
- save the project

- quit Modul8
- load the project
- the filter parameters are using our new values

Give us the steps to reproduce your problem. From our "point of view", it is working fine.

Regards

David

try turning the module off or closing it before closing.. i had the same problem with the dmx module getting it to save a patch, but i noticed that modul8 only seems to save module information when it closes if the modules are turned off
