I have a similar post in Madmapper because Im having the same issue..

Bought Enttecc USBDMX Pro
Plugged in, didn't see it in either programs..
Installed the Enttecc Pro Manager, came up there, Updated Firmware to 2.44
Nothing in M8 or MM
went to ftdi and installed the newest VCP driver
Tried again, Nothing (no serial or firmware under the pulldown menu in M8 or MM)
Installed the latest D2XX drivers via terminal
Tried again. Nothing.
Searching forums.. similar issues..no answers..
Downloaded ftdi too that disables serial VCP for d2xx programs..
did that..tried again, Nothing.
Reenabled VCP driver..
Went to bed.. had DMX nightmares...
Woke up, fed cats, drank coffee,
Wrote poem about said nightmares, (just kidding)
decided to start fresh..
Deleted VCP and D2xx drivers Via terminal (ftdi.com instruction manual..)
Deleted Pro Manager
Installed the VCP Drivers (no Pro Manager.. just the VCP drivers from ftdi.com site)
Tried, Nothing.

I think We get the pattern. Anyone had this issue and have they resolved it? Really want to get this show put together before tomorrow..
THANNNKKKKKKSSS :)

Sorry, some tech specs might help..

MAvericks 10.9.4
M8 2.8
MM1.6.2

Enttecc DMXUSB Pro firmware 1.4 (now since Enttec manual said that was recommended)

mmmmhhh… usually you only need the ftdi driver for the dmx usbpro. I didn't check with 10.9.4 but it always worked for me even with 10.9.3

did you install 32 bit or 64 bit version of the drivers? and what mac do you have?

Yay... its Sigmasix on the thread... Ok.. So I installed 64bit VCP drivers and I have an older MacBook Pro (2009?) running 10.9.4.. I installed the FTDI VCP drivers and uninstalled the d2xx (per entecc support) and I can't seem to see the driver in my kextstat in terminal ( hope I said that right..) this is what it says in System Profiler..

DMX USB PRO:

Product ID: 0x6001
Vendor ID: 0x0403 (Future Technology Devices International Limited)
Version: 6.00
Serial Number: EN149096
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: ENTTEC
Location ID: 0x04100000 / 2
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): 300

But I still gets nothing... no file in the /dev either
