    Synchronising a linear network.

    by JimTurner » Wed Sep 07, 2022 11:28 am

I wander if anyone can help??
I have a project coming up involving 6 projections running along a linear pathway. They need to be synchronised. A minimad will be at each projector location.
If I place a network switch at minimad 3 or 4 down the line I will have to run 3 lots of cat5 at some positions.
I would like a tidier solution if possible where each unit is "daisy chained" to the next one so just one network cable will run between each..
Is this possible? With some sort of splitter or 2 way switch?

    Many thanks, Jim

Hello. I just read your question/post.

I do not have an answer for you, but I am designing a project with 3 projectors and 3 MiniMads, and am also wondering about using Cat5 cable and/or HDMI booster devices. What was your experience using Cat5 with MiniMads?

    Thank you!
    Paul
