    minimad doesn't keep mapping

    by DBR » Thu Oct 07, 2021 8:44 pm

    Hi,
I've created a mapping video (1920x1080) on Madmapper and export to minimad.
when the minimad is plugged to the video projector, the image is bigger and doesn't fit my madmapper's mapping.

how to tell to the minimad to keep exactly my mapping ?

    thanks in advance

What version of MadMapper are you using?

Are you sure your projector is using 1920x1080 resolution in MadMapper?
It's possible the projector in MadMapper is setup to 1920x1080 but the projector actually uses a different resolution in the system (Then you should see a warning next to the projector's resolution in MadMapper).

    Hi Pierre,
minimad version is 3.6.8. All the resolutions were set to 1920x1080 in madmapper.
but I can't reproduce the problem now because my mapping was on a festival last week-end and I took the screen captures at home without a video projector.
I'm just afraid if that issue will occurs again on the next installation :?

We're unaware of such problem even in version 3.
Your video output / projector may have been configured with a different resolution than the one used in MadMapper at the time you experienced the problem, resulting in a misplaced mapping once playing on the MiniMad which uses MadMapper's projector resolution and not the system's.

Besides, I advice you upgrade to MadMapper / MiniMad 4 which receives the latest improvements and bug-fixes.
