Using Minimad as backup for a complete MadMapper-setup

by BN visuals » Fri Sep 17, 2021 3:48 pm

Hi, I've been trying to double up with a miniMad and my mac running Mad Mapper at the same time. They both send to the artNet but of course, the signals collide, resulting in glitches and the controller getting confused as to which signal to listen to. The signal from the miniMad continues to send even if the luminosity is set to zero.

It would be great for a setup like what I'm attempting to be able to discard the whole miniMad when the computer is indeed working, but with an option to initialise the miniMad, by pressing one of the buttons, when the computer is disabled.

Also: syncing miniLight would be great, to run several miniMads at the same time, zone for zone, not overloading the raspberry with to many universes on each miniMad.

Using the MiniMad Controller module and the cues in MadMapper, you can think about switching between playing your DMX from MadMapper or from the MiniMad.

    What do you think?
